A. Newly Arrived Students

a. monitor temperature twice daily for two weeks.

b. assess for any flu-like symptoms (high fever, body pain, cough and difficulty breathing)

c. ask for travel history for the past 3-4 weeks

d. endorse/report to nurse, managers and safety officer every end of the shift.

B. Staff, Current Students and Visitors

a. Daily checking of temperatures and providing masks to patients.

b. Constant reminder in group chats for hygiene.

c. Accessible hand sanitizers in every building and office.

d. Provided alcohol spray for each cubicle use.

Duties and Responsibilities of Each Department


  1. Deep cleaning once a month
  2. Boiling mineral water to clean table wares three times a week.
  3. Sanitize table tops every after meal
  4. Sterilize kitchen utensils
  5. Thoroughly cook meat
  6. Observe proper inventory handling (first in, first out)
  7. Maintain temperature danger zone
  8. Use appropriate knife and chopping boards
  9. Wear kitchen protective clothing (mask, hairnet, apron)


  1. Disinfect school buildings and offices once a week.
  2. Spray disinfectant during cleaning schedule including door knobs and toilet seats.
  3. Wear protective clothing (mask, hairnet, gloves)
  4. Soak mops and cleaning clothes with chlorine solution.
  5. Refill hand sanitizers.
  6. Waste segregation.


  1. Fumigation once a week when raining, twice a month when sunny.
  2. Wearing personal protective equipment.
  3. Fixing potential physical hazards within the premises.
  4. Vehicle sanitation and maintenance.

Admin and Managers

  1. Check students’ passports and travel stamps (endorse students with travel history in China or any affected country).
  2. Double check students’ basic info such as their residential address, health history.
  3. Broadcasting of reminders for preventive measures.
  4. Provide masks for leaving students.
  5. Daily updates and information about COVID-19.
  6. Ensure availability of stocks.

Teaching Staff

  1. Clean cubicles every after class with alcohol spray.
  2. Endorse students or other colleagues who appear to be sick.
  3. Observe proper hygiene at all times.


  1. Must wear a mask at all times.
  2. Provide masks to agencies for fam tours and to visitors with temperature higher than 37.5.
  3. Check all incoming staff and visitors’ temperature.
  4. Report health related information to nurses, managers and safety officers every end of the shift.
  5. Make endorsement for next shift.


  1. Temperature monitoring.

  3. Monitor sick students and relay to managers.
  4. Daily reporting of students and staff with flu-like symptoms and other special cases.
  5. Ensure availability of medicines and masks.

Preventive measures

Follow these infectious respiratory disease-prevention rules from the Department of Health and World Health Organization:

  1. 1. OBSERVE PROPER HAND HYGIENE. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for 30 seconds or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Wash your hands after contact with pets and handling things such as door knobs and table tops. (Follow posted handwashing procedure)
  2. 2. PRACTICE GOOD COUGH ETIQUETTE. When coughing and sneezing, cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue – discard tissue immediately into a closed bin and clean your hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.
  3. 3. AVOID TOUCHING YOUR EYES, NOSE AND MOUTH. Your hands may have touched contaminated surfaces, and you can transfer germs from the surface to yourself.
  4. 4. AVOID CROWDED PLACES SUCH AS MALLS. Maintain at least two-meter or six-foot distance between yourself and other people, particularly those who are coughing, sneezing and have a fever.
  5. 5. REFRAIN FROM SHAKING HANDS. To minimize transfer of infections.
  6. 6. WEAR THE FACE MASK PROPERLY. Wear the face mask with the colored side facing outward, fully covering the nose, mouth, and chin. Never touch the mask with your hands. Remove the mask by holding only the string and dispose properly. Wear a face mask only when necessary, such as if you are immunocompromised or have a cough and cold.
  7. 7. Avoid touching the water dispenser’s faucet with the mouth or rim of cups and/or tumblers. To avoid cross contamination.
  9. 9. AVOID SPREADING OF UNVERIFIED INFORMATIONS. To avoid unnecessary panic.
  10. 10. If you have fever, cough, difficulty breathing seek medical care early. Respiratory symptoms with fever can have a range of causes and depending on your personal travel history and circumstances, COVID-19 could be one of them.
  11. 11. AVOID EATING RAW OR EXOTIC ANIMALS, as COVID-19 is also animal-transmitted.
