Regulations of English Fella
Both Campuses
School Regulations and Safety Guidelines for Both Campuses
Enrollment Policy
- Please contact a partnered agency for registration.
- All school fees must be paid in advance. (three weeks before the course starts.)
- The minimum registration period required for 1st campus is 8 weeks and 2nd campus is 12 weeks.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
- When you cancel before coming to the Philippines.
- Request for a refund must be done by the students themselves.
- The registration fee is not included in the refund.
- Request for a refund within 3 weeks of your departure day is subject to a $100 penalty.
- When you ask for a refund during your stay in the school.
- 4 weeks will be deducted from the remaining number of weeks. The student can then receive a 50% refund from the total number of weeks after the deduction.
- In connection with # 1, if the request is done in the middle of the week of the remaining weeks minus the deducted 4 weeks, that said week will not be included in the computation of your refund.
- Expulsion from school does not guarantee a refund since the reason for the expulsion is solely the willful action of the student.
- You will receive the refund after a week from your departure from the school and directly deposited to your personal bank account. We do not give cash.
- The remaining weeks are non-transferable to another person.
- Students who have less than 4 remaining weeks will not be eligible for a refund.
Policy for Delaying Schedule
- The student is charged $100 US and must inform us a week prior to departure.
- A maximum of two times is allowable to postpone.
Class Regulation
- If your teacher resigns or is absent from his/her post, a substitute teacher will be assigned to you.
- You are allowed to skip classes without receiving a penalty for the following: Visiting parents/family members, going to the post office or hospital, and changing airplane tickets.
- Students who do not attend classes will be subject to our penalty regulation.
- The School's official calendar and class schedule are subject to change in accordance with the management.
- New students are not allowed to change their class schedule on their first week. Students who request a change will need to meet the Head teachers for consultation. (Walk-in students may consult the offices every Thursday. Students who wish to change may also leave a request on the English Fella system.
- Additional classes such as 1:1 and group classes may be subjected to tuition fee changes. Students cannot exchange their existing group classes for a 1:1 class.
- Students must inform the head teachers if they want to skip classes for some valid reasons.
- Students are not allowed to change their course to GEC (Guardian Course) after arriving at school.
Holiday Rules
- There will be no classes during holidays in the Philippines.
- English Fella will not be able to guarantee a refund due to government changes, natural disasters, epidemics, terror, strike, etc.
- Information about the holidays will be posted on the bulletin board and school calendar.
Terms and Conditions
- English Fella will not be held liable for any changes in flight schedule, delays, or any airline-related problems.
- English Fella holds the right to inform minor students' parents if their children have broken any of the school's rules and regulations.
- English Fella will not be held accountable for any accidents, damages, loss of belongings, personal injury, disability, dismemberment, illness, death, claims of liabilities, psychological injury, lawsuits, temporary or permanent disabilities, expenses, and all related risks inside or outside of the campus grounds.
- The school will not be held liable for loss of belongings so please take care of your things. Students may use the given safety boxes in their rooms or they may choose to keep their valuables in the assigned offices of English Fella.
- English Fella keeps all student's passports due to immigration-related activities. If the student finds the need to use their passport, they may retrieve it in the Admin Office and return it as soon as possible. (Lost passports in the possession of the student will no longer be held as a liability of English Fella.)
- Students are not allowed to insult, assault, or disrespect any staff of English Fella.
- Students may consult the staff of English Fella in regard to any problems they might encounter during their stay.
Safety Guide
In the school
- Students must take extra precautions when walking nearby the swimming pool.
- Diving, jumping, and pushing others are prohibited in the swimming pool.
- Please do not jump to 2 or 3 stairs when walking the staircase.
- Students must take extra precautions when staying in the balcony area of their rooms.
- Please use the appropriate sporting goods and attire at the gym.
- Students are highly advised to be extra careful when walking through wet floors, staircases, and ramps.
- Students are prohibited to interact with potentially dangerous hazards such as boilers, motors, and air discharge vents. Touching a power supply can cause an electric shock.
- Do not wear slippers at the gym.
- Using a multiple-tap in a dormitory is prohibited.
- Students are advised to remove the plugs of gadgets and other electrical accessories after use.
- English Fella will not be held responsible for any loss of belongings. Please be cautious of keeping your possessions. (Students may also keep their belongings in the assigned offices.)
Outside of the school
- Students are highly advised to avoid walking on the streets during night-time and midnight hours.
- Students are reminded to keep their belongings close to them. They are also advised to double-check their belongings when moving from one area to another.
- Be extra cautious during potentially hazardous trips/activities: jet skiing, ATV, canyoneering, etc.
- Students are strongly advised to avoid going to casinos.
- If you ever end up going to a nightclub, please do not accept drinks or such from strangers.
- Do not get into a fight with the locals especially if you are under the influence of alcohol. Remember, that this is a foreign country and some rules do not apply in your native country.
Process of Evacuation during a Fire
- Evacuate through your nearest exit point.
- Evacuate through a staircase. (if you are on the upper floors)
- Evacuation through the veranda.
Process of Evacuation during an Earthquake
- When you feel an earthquake, open the door closest to you. This must be done quickly as the debris may block your route of exit.
- When you are indoors, hide your body under a table or a bed. If there are no tables or beds in your area, protect your head with books or other hard/flat objects.
- If you have evacuated the building, you may proceed to the swimming pool deck in Fella 1 or the lawn in Fella 2. You should wear durable shoes to avoid injuries from the fragments of glass.
- Listen attentively to the school announcement about the earthquake and follow their instructions.
- As soon as an earthquake strikes remember to DUCK, COVER, and HOLD until it is safe to leave the building.
* English Fella holds its right not to issue a refund during natural disasters.
Process of Evacuation during a Typhoon
- Refrain from leaving your dormitory.
- Close your door and window firmly.
- Listen carefully to the announcements and follow the school's instructions.
Swimming pool regulations
- Take a light shower before swimming; it is proper courtesy.
- Always follow the lifeguard's instructions.
- Do not run around the pool.
- Do not jump or dive into the pool.
- The maximum depth of the pool is 1.4m.
- Swimming under the influence of alcohol is prohibited.
- Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied at all times when using the swimming pool.
- Juniors should wear a life vest when swimming.
- You should follow the available time of the swimming pool.
- Juniors 15:00 - 20:00, 1Campus (Adults 15:00 - 23:00), 2Campus (Adults 15:00 - 23:00)
- English Fella will not be held responsible for any swimming pool-related accidents.
1st Campus
Dormitory Regulations
- The school provides new students a welcome kit including a toothbrush, toothpaste, a roll of toilet paper, and a can of mosquito spray.
- Laundry: Students may wash their clothes with the washing machines or students may apply for a laundry service at the guard house. English Fella will not be held responsible for any loss of clothing.
- The schedule for dormitory cleaning is twice a week and changing of bedcover once a week. If the students want to change their blanket, they have to fill out a housekeeping request in the English Fella System.
- The students have to fill up a Maintenance request through the English Fella System if they need something fixed in their room such as lights or refrigerator.
- The students are prohibited to use kitchen appliances in their rooms such as gas burners or the like to prevent fire.
- Smoking indoors is not allowed. There are smoking areas on the school campus grounds, thus students caught smoking in non-smoking areas will be given a warning.
- Bringing or drinking alcoholic beverages inside the school premises is strictly prohibited. If a student is caught disturbing or fighting with other students in the school under the influence of alcohol, they will be expelled from the school after informing their parents about the incident.
- Fighting or speaking foul words toward another student is prohibited. If caught, they will be subject to expulsion based on the manager's recommendation within 48 hours after informing their parents about the incident.
- Students are allowed to have visitors in the school provided that they ask permission in advance from the managers. The visitors can stay from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm however they are prohibited from entering the dormitories. The guests must receive a visitor's pass from the guardhouse before they can enter the school. Student's parents or relatives are allowed to stay in the dormitory if there are available rooms. Maximum stay is 2 nights and 3 days. The charge is Php2000/day for students and Php3000/day for visitors. (Per person)
- The students are obliged to follow the curfew time set by the management for their safety. Students who break the curfew time rules will be sanctioned with a warning in accordance with the school's rules and regulations.

- Allowed time to go out: From 17:00 ~ 22:00
- Curfew Time: 22:00
- Friday / The day before Holiday
- Allowed time to go out: From 17:00 ~ 22:00
- Curfew Time: Following day 02:00
- Saturday
- Allowed time to go out: From 5:00 ~ 22:00
- Curfew Time: Following day 02:00
- Allowed time to go out: From 5:00 ~ 22:00
- Sunday/Holiday
- Allowed time to Go Out: 5:00 ~ 22:00
- Curfew Time: 22:00
- Weekdays (Mon ~ Thurs)
- The students are allowed to swim or play basketball until 10:00 pm only. You are discouraged to make a lot of noise from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, especially in front of the dormitories. This is to avoid disturbing others. You will receive a warning and a penalty if caught doing so.
- The students are strictly prohibited from visiting the opposite gender's room. If caught (except married couples), you will be dismissed from school within 48 hours.
- Students caught escaping from the school over the fence will be given three warnings and consultation.
Regulation for Skipping Class
- Being late or skipping class will result in a penalty.
- Students must inform the Head Teachers if they would like to skip their class for personal reasons.
- (you will still receive a penalty even if you write in the absence logbook except when you present a medical certificate or new airline tickets)
- Students who skip or reschedule their level test will receive a penalty.
Curfew Time Regulation (Unauthorized overnight stay)
- Students will get 1 warning for a curfew time violation within 3 hours of the curfew time and 2 warnings if they exceed 3 hours of the curfew time.
- Students who stay outside for a night without permission will get 2 warnings, and counselling with the staff.
Dormitory Regulation
- Smoking in non-smoking zones will be subjected to 1 warning.
- Bringing or drinking alcoholic beverages inside the school campus will be subjected to 2 warnings. (2nd offense = expulsion)
- Entering opposite genders dormitory will be subjected to expulsion depending on the severity of the case.
- Shouting/screaming, fighting with other students under the influence of alcohol, and damaging school property are subject to expulsion.
Warning Regulation (12 weeks period)
1st ~ 4th warning: Filling out warning consent form and meeting with staff.
5th warning: Informing the parents of the involved student.
6th warning: Call for being grounded (Student cannot leave the campus until their leaving date.)
7th warning: Expulsion without refund and informing the parents and the agency.
12 weeks below 6 times warning is expulsion. (5 times: informing parents)
12 weeks above 8 times warning is expulsion. (7 times: informing parents)
Students have a maximum of 1 warning per 2 weeks of their study duration.
2nd Campus
Regulation for Dormitory

- Self-Study and Vocabulary Test
- Mandatory on Monday/Tuesday/Thursday
- Guarantee courses such as PIGI, TOEIC Guarantee, etc. are subject to a mandatory Sparta regulation.
- Sparta, J-Sparta, and Classic are regulations/lifestyles. These are for students who would like to push themselves to study harder; course prices are not subject to any change if the regulation is changed.
